Upgrading the Red Hat Enterprise Linux running an AMD software requires a total reinstallation of the operating system and the AMD monitoring software.
Make sure that your RUM Console software is at least the same version as the AMD that you wish to upgrade..
Make sure that your RUM Console lists the AMD that you wish to upgrade in the devices list.
Make sure that using the RUM Console you can open the configuration of the AMD that you wish to upgrade
To migrate the AMD to a newer version of supported operating system, perform the following steps:
Start and log in to RUM Console.
Navigate to the Devices list.
Using RUM Console standalone: Devices and Connections ► Manage Devices
Using CAS report server: Settings ► Monitoring ► Devices
In the Devices list, click Open Configuration for the AMD that you wish to upgrade.
In the upper right corner of the Configuration screen, click the Export Configuration icon and save the zipped configuration files on your local system.
Log in to the AMD as user root and Stop all AMD traffic monitoring services..
Install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Install the current release of the AMD software.

Reboot the machine to allow correct initialization of network interface driver.
Perform post-installation system pre-configuration.
Note that this can be a time-consuming task. For more information, see System Pre-Configuration.
Using your RUM Console find the upgraded AMD on your device list, left click on the AMD and select Open Configuration.
In the upper-right corner of the screen, click the Import Configuration icon.
On the Import AMD Configuration screen, select the check box for the configuration file to import and click Browse to select the XML file for a specific configuration.

Network Analyzer Agent Settings
Flow Collector Settings
Click OK to import the configuration from XML files located in zipped file obtained in step 4.
Once the configuration has been imported, click Save and Publish to broadcast the configuration to the newly upgraded AMD.
