SELinux provides a variety of security features, but prevents the AMD from operating properly.

If you have used the kickstart script to install Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SELinux is already disabled. Otherwise, execute the following steps to disable SELinux. For additional information refer to Red Hat Enterprise Linux Deployment Guide.

  1. Log in as root user.

  2. Open the SELinux configuration file.

    To edit the SELinux /etc/selinux/config configuration file, you can use the mcedit command:

    mcedit /etc/selinux/config

  3. Disable the SELINUX configuration property.

    Set the SELINUX property to disabled:

  4. Save the configuration file.

    Press [F2] to save the file.

  5. Reboot the AMD.
